THE MORNING LIVE PRESENTER REVEALED HE COULD NOT TAKE PART IN A SPECIAL EVENT IN CARDIFF THIS WEEKEND 14:47, 31 May 2025 Welsh presenter Gethin Jones has shared his disappointment over
missing a huge Cardiff event after being pictured in a hospital gown. The BBC Morning Live host posted to his Instagram story that he sadly could not take part in the epic sport event,
Hyrox, which is taking place in Cardiff's Principality Stadium this weekend. The image showed the presenter in a hospital gown, a thumb down and a seemingly disappointed face. He wrote:
"No Hyrox for me this weekend. But voice is fully fit to cheer on [Sam Dimmick] and [Tommy Burnell]". This will be the first time ever Hyrox is hosted in Wales. The 'fitness
racing' event, which is rising in popularity, will see thousands of people take part and spectate over a three-day event. _For the latest TV and showbiz gossip __sign up to our

globe, sees competitors run 1km before completing one fitness exercise, including 1km on a standing ski machine, 50m of sled push and 80m of burpee jumps. They then repeat the process until
they have performed eight 1km runs and all eight workouts, which also include carrying a kettlebell, as well as throws and catches of a medicine ball off a wall. You can read more about the
Hyrox event here. Not being able to participate in the high-energy event will undoubtedly come as a disappointment for Gethin Jones. The presenter, who hails from Cardiff, is known for
nearly turning professional in rugby, after previously having trials with Sale Sharks in Manchester. Earlier this year, he joined former Olympic champion and friend, Sir Chris Hoy, as they
embarked on a muddy trail in One Planet Adventure in Denbighshire. And the presenter also embarked on the gruelling charity challenge, Wheely Big Challenge, which saw him rollerblade for 24
hours alongside his Morning Live host, Helen Skelton, for Red Nose Day in March. Article continues below Despite not being able to take part in the Hyrox in Wales this weekend, it does seem
as if the presenter will still turn up to the event to support his friends.
