Abbey to BBC One's Poldark. The latest period drama to grace our screens is Miss Austen, following Jane Austen's sister and niece after her death. The drama is based on the book by
Gill Hornby and features a very impressive cast including Keeley Hawes and Rose Leslie. The BBC has hinted that the show "takes a literary mystery Cassandra Austen notoriously burning
her famous sister Jane's letters and reimagines it as a fascinating, witty and heart-breaking story of sisterly love, while creating in Cassandra a character as captivating as any

plays the young Cassandra Austen, who we see in flashbacks during the series. She has starred in the 2021 film Last Night in Soho and the 2023 series Bodies. PATSY FERRAN AS JANE AUSTEN
