THE ROADWORKS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETE UNTIL SATURDAY, JUNE 7. IT FOLLOWS A CRASH AND SUBSEQUENT 'EMERGENCY REPAIRS' 19:14, 30 May 2025 Drivers in Carmarthenshire are facing

delays for the next week due to 'emergency repairs' ongoing near Pont Abraham. There has been heavy congestion on the A48 eastbound since Wednesday, May 28, due to a lane closure

on the M4 eastbound after J49 for roadworks. Traffic Wales has confirmed that this lane closure will remain in place until Saturday, June 7, for "investigation works". The same

stretch of road was closed for a number of hours on Tuesday, May 27, after a crash. Drivers are being advised to allow for extra time when they travel after delays were seen on both the A48

and A483. There have regularly been 20-minute queues back towards the Cross Hands roundabout on the A48 reported since the lane was shut at around 1pm on Wednesday. A post on Traffic

Wales' social media pages said: "A48 southbound Cwmgwili - J49 Pont Abraham. Lane closures in place until 7 June for investigation works. "We’re aware of concerns about lack
