Heartless Bastards released Restless Ones, the band's fifth album, last year. That followed a long stretch of almost constant touring before the group slowed down long enough to write. Not
surprisingly, the songs reflect a certain world-weariness and a persistent sense that it's time to keep moving. Last summer, Heartless Bastards played a gritty and powerful set on the Woods
Stage at Pickathon, highlighted by Erika Wennerstrom's wails in the chorus to "Down In The Canyon."
