PRINCESS BEATRICE HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO HER SECOND CHILD, A DAUGHTER NAMED ATHENA - AND IT'S BELIEVED HER NEW DAUGHTER COULD HOLD A UNIQUE ROYAL TITLE THROUGH HER FATHER, EDOARDO MAPELLI
MOZZI 16:40, 30 Jan 2025 Princess Beatrice has welcomed her second child, Athena, into the world. And the latest member of the Royal Family could be in line for a surprise Royal title. he
eldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice gave birth to Athena, her second child with 41 year old husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Athena arrived a
bit earlier than expected on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57 pm, weighing in at 4lb 5oz, as Beatrice, 36, was initially due to give birth in the spring. Following a health alert from her
medical team in December, Beatrice and Edoardo cancelled their plans to travel abroad for the festive season, choosing instead to spend Christmas with King Charles and the rest of the Royal
Family. Named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, she is now 11th in line to the throne. READ MORE Katie Price shares surprising new job that will allow her to be close to Harvey The couple
also have an older daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, who is three years old and 10th in the succession line. Additionally, Beatrice is stepmother to Wolfie, Edoardo's eight year old son from
a previous relationship. The King and the Royal Family are reportedly "delighted" by the arrival of baby Athena. However, despite her mother being a princess, Athena will not
receive an official Royal title through the House of Windsor, reports the Mirror. In the UK, only the grandchildren of the monarch through a male line are automatically entitled to Royal
titles. This is why Princess Beatrice holds her title through her father Prince Andrew, and why Prince Harry's children, Archie and Lilibet, were able to claim the titles of Prince and
Princess when Charles ascended to the throne. However, Beatrice's daughter Athena has another avenue for a title through her father Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who is an Italian count. As
such, Athena could be known as nobile donna, according to The Sun. "Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation," Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi,
Edoardo's father, stated. "He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna." Despite this, the Italian
aristocratic title doesn't hold official recognition in the UK or even in Italy, where the constitution specifies that "titles of nobility shall not be recognised" While these
titles can still be used socially, they carry no legal weight. Edoardo shared his joy on Instagram about the birth of his daughter, saying: "We welcomed Baby Athena into our lives last
week. She is tiny and absolutely perfect. We are all (including Wolfie and Sienna) already completely besotted with her." Sarah Ferguson took to social media to express her joy about
her new granddaughter, sharing: "She is already so adored and I'm already blessed to be a Granny once again. So proud of Edo, Beatrice, and the rest of my little 5-a-side
team". Edmund Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice joined the Queen and other high-ranking royals for the traditional Christmas Day walk to church in Sandringham, along with
Beatrice's stepson Wolfie. Article continues below The couple tied the knot back in 2020 during a quaint ceremony, held within the confines of COVID-19 pandemic protocols, an event
graced by the presence of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
