ANTONIO BANDERAS GAVE SPEECH AT THE STAR-STUDDED OCCASION ON SATURDAY  By JAMES DUNN FOR MAILONLINE Published: 05:03 EDT, 16 January 2017 | Updated: 10:48 EDT, 16 January 2017 Sir Elton John

and Mariah Carey were paid millions to sing at a Russian oligarch's 19-year-old granddaughter's ridiculously lavish wedding at the weekend. The superstars headlined a star-studded

bill of performances at the extravagant party after Irene Kogan, the granddaughter of businessman Valery Kogan, wed groom Daniel Kevey on Saturday. Mariah Carey is said to have been paid

£2.5million to fly in from the US and sang ballad We Belong Together to them at London's Landmark Hotel, where the Presidential Suite costs £1,450-a-night. Scroll down for video  The

bride is said to have wept when Sir Elton, who charges no less than £1million, dedicated the song Tiny Dancer to her during a 12-song set, reports The Sun. Sir Elton said: 'This is for

Irene. She's not that tiny, but I know she's a really good dancer because I can see her down there.' Actor Antonio Banderas, who now lives in London and recently dined with

Prince Charles, also made a speech during the star-studded wedding, wishing the couple well. A number of Russian stars also performed and the night ended with a DJ set from producer Mark

Ronson. The bride wore a dress by one of Britain's most exclusive fashion brands, Ralph & Russo, the brand that made Cheryl Cole's famous black wedding gown. The fashion house

also boasts clients including Beyonce and Angelina Jolie, who wore one of their dresses to meet the Queen. Dresses from the designer, which was the first in 100 years to be allowed to

display its collection at Paris Haute Couture Week, can cost up to $500,000 (£320,000). Images show the couple cutting a huge cake, standing at least ten foot off the ground, during the

incredibly luxurious party. Guests shared images of the menu on social media, a nine-course feast including seared sea bass with caviar, roasted fillet of dry aged beef and 'macerated

pineapple'.  The guest list was a who's who of Russian high society, with the Russian elite from the music, fashion and acting worlds in attendance.  SEARED SEA BASS WITH CAVIAR

of the richest men in Russia with a net worth said to be worth around $2billion (1.6billion). RUSSIAN OLIGARCH WORTH £2BILLION HAS SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST LUXURIOUS PROPERTIES Valery

Kogan is one of the richest men in Russia and is thought to have made his fortune by investing in Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, the largest in Eastern Europe. He is thought to be worth

around £2billion and has hit the headlines for his penchant for ridiculously luxurious properties both in Israel and the US. The Russian-Jewish businessman infuriated neighbours in

Greenwich, Connecticut, when he applied for planning permission to raze the 20,000 sq ft property they bought in 2005 to the ground and build a new one. Described as 'the most

ostentatious mansion in Greenwich', he eventually had to abandon plans for the 54,000 sq ft mansion and submit scaled down versions of the plans for the house, worth a reported

$18million (£14.9million). But it is nothing compared to the immense property he is building in Israel, dubbed the nation's most expensive estate. Experts estimate that it is worth at

least $100 million (£83million) and features include $570,000 (£472,000) of gold leafing, a 10,800 sq ft entry hall with glass dome to view the night sky, a 10-car underground garage and a

$2million (£166million) solid gold entry gate. It is designed to look similar to the White House in Washington.   He owns Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, the largest in Eastern Europe,

with billionaire business partner Dmitry Kamenshchik. In 2013, he invested £83million in building the most luxurious mansion in the nation, designed to look like the White House. In 2011 he

broke an Israeli real estate record when he bought a 1,000-square-meter apartment for a reported $31billion (£25million). He also reportedly owns an $18million (£14.9million) mansion in

Connecticut.     Mariah CareyLondon
