CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLES CAN BE DIFFICULT AT TIMES AND BARISTAS HAVE SHARED SOME CUSTOMER PET PEEVES. 10:04, 12 Mar 2025Updated 10:05, 12 Mar 2025 Working with the public can be tricky
sometimes, especially after a long day in a customer facing role. These workers need to put up with bad habits from customers and may at times need to chant 'the customer is always
right' in their head to kept their true feelings at bay. Costa Coffee is one of the most popular coffee shop chains in the country, with at least one situated in most highstreets. These
shops are the perfect destination for a quick coffee run during a stressful work day or to have a sit down and catch up with friends and family. While baristas are geniuses at whipping up
your favourite - and sometimes quirky - coffee orders, they may not feel the same sense of peace when they step into the shop to start their shift. Customer service roles aren't always
a walk in the park, which makes it understandable why some employees have complaints about shoppers behaviour. One former Costa barista decided to air out their irritations on Reddit and
enquired what grievances fellow coffee shop workers would love to inform their much-loved patrons about, reports the Mirror. The post was titled: "What's something you would like
to say to customers?" The barista followed with: "I’ve made this post as I’m just curious to know if there’s something you would like to tell customers but are not able to. I’ll
start: Dear customers, please stop putting your empty sugar sachets and napkins into your finished latte glass." Article continues below Fellow Costa workers were eager to share their
thoughts, as one person wrote: "Stop rearranging the bloody furniture." In response, the original poster added: "Or at least put it BACK." Someone else added: "Stop
stuffing napkins in those tiny milk jugs. I'll admit I used to bin a few when I genuinely could not be a***d after a long day." Another Costa worker replied: "If one of the
milk jugs accidentally falls into the bin I am NOT waving my hand around in there to get it out." A fourth commented: "Don't leave your trays in random places? Or give me your
full tray when you can see I'm serving other customers or making food. Leave it on the table, we'll take it when we've got a chance." The original poster further added
to this comment saying: "Also stop taking the tray to your table, taking your drinks off, and putting the tray back on the bar. Go to clear the table later and there’s like 12 glasses
and no tray!!" JOIN THE DAILY RECORD WHATSAPP COMMUNITY! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on

asked: "But genuinely what to do with the tray? In Costa near me, the tables are quite small so there's no place for the tray…" The post creator advised: "Just leave your
drinks on the tray or put it on the floor leaning against the window so the barista can put the cups back on it after you’re done." In a more shocking comment, one Costa barista
exclaimed: "In the name of holy God, learn to use the toilet, it’s like a dirty protest in there and we are not issued with hazmat suits." Article continues below
