The disruptions were started by Samajwadi Party member Ram Gopal Yadav who raised the Kasganj issue. The Opposition on Friday tried to corner the government on the issue of communal violence
in Kasganj, as proceedings in Rajya Sabha started on Friday morning. There were also protests on issues like sealing drive in Delhi by the newly-elected AAP members. The disruptions were
started by Samajwadi Party member Ram Gopal Yadav who raised the Kasganj issue. "Atrocities are being perpetrated against minorities in Kasganj...they are being suppressed...Their
houses are being vandalised," Yadav said, as his party colleagues joined him creating a din. Deputy Chairman P J Kurien asked the party to give a notice to raise the issue. However, the
SP members kept raising the issue from their benches and then trooped into the Well. Communal violence had erupted in Kasganj on January 26, leading to the death of one person. Since then,
the town in western UP has been gripped in communal tension and some clashes have also been reported. Amid the ruckus, Congress member KVP Ramachandra Rao also entered the Well, holding a
placard with the slogan 'Help Andhra Pradesh', but did not utter a word. Kurien then asked Rao to vacate the Well and return to his seat, but the latter remained unmoved. To that
end, Kurien requested Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad to recall Rao to his seat. "What is he (Rao) doing? Can somebody do like this? Has he gone mad? Please call him (back to
seat)," Kurien said, and even threatened action against Rao. Following the disruptions the House was adjourned for over an hour, but functioned smoothly later. CONG RUCKUS * Congress
member KVP Ramachandra Rao also brought up the issue of Andhra Pradesh in the House by holding a placard in the Well. * Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien threatened to take action against Rao for
