Fadnavis informed that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would be attending the meeting to be held at the chamber of State Assembly Speaker on Thursday. Stating that FIRs during any agitation can


be withdrawn but acts like setting ablaze milk tanker and violent acts would not be tolerated, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday made it clear that a meeting would be held on


Thursday to sort out issues of milk producers and sugar industry. Fadnavis informed that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would be attending the meeting to be held at the chamber of State


Assembly Speaker on Thursday. Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil said that Section 151(3) would not be invoked against agitators of the protest. Fadnavis assured that like any


other agitation, the FIRs would be withdrawn after some time. The Chief Minister also made it clear that violent acts like setting ablaze milk tankers and other vehicles would be dealt with


stringently. He said that in such incidents perpetrators would not be spared. NCP leader Ajit Pawar insisted that since Chief Minister Fadnavis, Minister for Agriculture Chandrakant Patil


and Minister for Cooperation Subhash Deshmukh are present in House, the calling attention motion over sugar industry be taken for discussion. Fadnavis informed the House that the issue of


sugar, as well as milk farmers, will be taken up for discussion after today's meeting. He informed that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari would be able to give details about Union


Government's measures on these issues.
