par rounds of 71 at the Kingston Beach course on Sunday to win by a single stroke from clubmate Mark Schulze who carded 72, 71.
Kube has won this event previously in 2006, 2011 and 2016.
In third place was local member Matthew Glover with 71, 73 and early leader Nathan Gatehouse 70, 75.
Josh Hill of Royal Hobart had 74, 71 and Paul Read, of Tasmania, 74, 73.
Former state junior Gus Burrell of Kingston Beach produced the round of the day with a five-under 66 but faded in the afternoon with 83.
Prospect Vale’s Ryan Thomas continues to impress winning the junior championship with rounds of 79 and 71.
Riverside champ Isaac Pinnington has won his first Riverside club championship.
Pinnington finished the 72-hole event at 1 over par with rounds of 76, 65, 74, 74 securing a comfortable 10-stroke victory from David House.
Peter Bond won B grade and Jim Magliarditi won C grade.
The nett events were won by Pinnington, Tim Donnachy and Magliarditi respectively.
Amanda Smith won the women’s championship with junior Alex Hanson winning B grade and Dawn Fenton C grade.
The ladies’ nett events went to Smith (A grade), Alison Smart (B grade) and Jan Heyes (C grade).
Women’s amateur Tasmania had a strong travelling representation in the Australian women’s senior amateur played at the Maroochy River club in Queensland.
Best performers were Prospect Vale ladies Tammy Hall 79, 80 in a tie for sixth place, Deidre Panton 83, 85 tied for 20th and Lindsay French 83, 92 was in 32nd place.
Devonport’s Kaye Morse, Jane Donohue and Lu Proud all tied for 54th.
Others making the trip were Viv Hancock, Ruth Emmerton, Elizabeth Hay, Penelope Evetts, Helen Plaister, Jenny Hubbard, Jennifer Jago and Glenda Embery.
Tamar champs Entry forms are available for the 2017 Tamar Valley A grade championship.
It will be played at Greens Beach on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3.
The 45-hole event is an official Toogood Trophy Consistency event which is used as a guide to selection of the state men’s team.
Exeter forms Exeter Golf Club annual tournament entry forms are out.
The format for the event will be a men’s and ladies’ 18-hole stroke to be played on Saturday, November 25, and a foursomes and mixed foursome on Sunday, November 26.
