Grout is the seal that fills in the gap between tiles, and if not cleaned regularly will quickly begin to accumulate dirt, stains or even mould and mildew. If tiles are not cleaned properly,

the dirty grout can cause unsightly stains, unsanitary conditions and lead to tiles deteriorating over time. If you have never cleaned grout before it can be difficult to get rid of due to

the dirt build-up, but Jayden Copeland, a cleaning expert and founder of Back Road Bloom, has shared her “amazing” homemade grout cleaner recipe made with natural ingredients. She said: “I

don’t like to be too dramatic, but this is a miracle. Okay that’s dramatic, but I just want you to know this homemade grout cleaner works SO WELL.” Jayden explained that she lived in her

home for two-and-a-half years and did not realise how dirty how tiles were until after she tried cleaning the grout and found it impossible to lift the dark stain. READ MORE: STOP BATHROOM

MIRROR FROM FOGGING UP WITH £1 HOUSEHOLD ITEM She said: “You guys, it was baaaaad. Like worse than I even thought… didn’t know how bad it was until after I cleaned it. Like I said, it is a

white grout, but it was honestly looking close to black (maybe a dark brown?!)” After trying and testing many methods, Jayden discovered a "the best" way to lift grout stains using

her own DIY solution she made with ingredients already around her home. HOW TO MAKE “THE BEST” HOMEMADE TILE GROUT CLEANER?  Jayden said: “You can get your grout completely white again with

a simple homemade grout cleaner using baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, and a scrub brush or toothbrush. “This natural, DIY grout cleaner will take dirty, black looking grout and

removing dirt without damaging the surface it is cleaning. Jayden said: “Baking soda is an awesome, all-natural cleaner. I love using baking soda in all of my natural, DIY projects.

It's non-toxic, safe, and effective.” Hydrogen peroxide is a disinfectant that is often used as a natural alternative to bleach while dish soap is effective and cleaning grime and

grease, so can help give your homemade cleaner an “extra boost.” INSTRUCTIONS  To make this homemade grout cleaner, make sure to combine two parts hydrogen peroxide and one part baking soda

in a bowl and then add two tablespoons of dish soap. Mix well and then use add a little bit of the cleaner to the grout between your tiles. Jayden said: “A little bit goes a long way! You

don’t need to get a bunch on the tile, but do try to make sure all of the grout is covered.” Then leave the homemade solution to sit on the grout for around five to 10 minutes. Jayden said:

“Don’t skip this part because this is how the solution works.” Once the time is up, scrub down the grout line and after a few scrubs, you should see the dirt easily lift off the tile and the

grout whitening. If the tiles are on the floor, use a broom to clean up the dirt from the grout and give the floor a mop. If the tiles are on the wall, give it a good wipe with soapy water

and then dry it with a towel, and then your grout should be sparkling clean again. Jayden said: “I hope you loved this DIY grout cleaner as much as I did. I have had SO many compliments on

our tile floor since I used this cleaner.”
