The Royal Family Instagram account shares photos and videos “from the work and activities of The Queen and the Royal Family”, according to the account. Yesterday, the Queen shared an
adorable Christmas video which included a scrumptious festive recipe for her fans to test out. Shared from Buckingham Palace, the post said that Royal pastry chefs were “excited” to share
their recipe to the public. The post read: “The Royal pastry chefs are excited to share their recipe for ‘Cinnamon Stars’ with you to enjoy over Christmas. #ARoyalChristmas “Swipe to see the
finished biscuits.” Fans of the Royal Family responded to the post directly and praised the yummy Christmas treats. Royal Pastry chef Kathryn Cuthbertson gave a very important tip to people
attempting to make mince pies. She said: “Give yourself plenty of time. Chef de Partie Victoria Scupham agreed and said: “Pastry is not something that likes to be rushed.” The article on
the website said the Royal kitchens will create over 1200 mine pies for festive receptions held at the palaces. The chefs have also been known to make Sablés à la Confiture - also known as
‘Jammy Dodgers’ - gingerbread and roulade. All the recipes are included in Royal Collection Trust's book, Royal Teas: Seasonal Recipes from Buckingham Palace. Former Royal chef Darren
McGrady, who has worked for the Queen and Princess Diana said the Royal Christmas dinner is actually very traditional. Darren told Hello!: "They're actually boring when it comes to
festivities! “They didn't do hams or anything, just traditional turkeys. “We did three turkeys for the Queen and her family in the royal dining room, one for the children's
nursery and then more for the 100 or so staff, so everyone had a Christmas lunch."
