QUEEN ATTENDS REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY SERVICE AT THE CENOTAPH Yesterday, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were photographed visiting the Los Angeles National Cemetery for Remembrance
Sunday. They laid a wreath and said they wanted to “personally recognise” Remembrance Sunday in their own way. THIS BLOG IS NOW CLOSED. CLICK HERE FOR YOUR LATEST UPDATES But Twitter critics
have said the photos were tacky and staged, saying their demands for a private life contradicted the release of the photos. One person wrote on Twitter: “I totally understand wanting to
commemorate the day as an army veteran. “But I don’t understand the overly staged photographs. “I thought they wanted privacy and not to be working Royals? Harry and Meghan criticised for

it as a photo op - they are unbelievable. “My parents were real heroes they never deserted duty or loyalty - like H.” Someone else pointed out: “Nothing like personally marking the day like
closing down the cemetery to the public and bringing along a photographer.” READ MORE: REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: QUEEN LEADS THE NATION IN COMMEMORATION RELATED ARTICLES While another person

(Image: Lee Morgan) It is believed the Duke of Sussex asked for a wreath to be laid but his request was denied by Buckingham Palace on the grounds he is no longer a senior member of the
Royal Family. Meghan and Harry shocked the world earlier this year when they announced they were stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family. The couple now live in Los Angeles with

according to an Express.co.uk poll, after his request for the Royal Family to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph on his behalf was refused by Buckingham Palace on Remembrance Sunday. Earlier this
year, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle said they were stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family. The rest of the Royal Family continued to remember the fallen troops on Remembrance
Sunday, but Harry suffered a humiliating snub - even though he served more than a decade in the military. Harry is believed to be “deeply saddened” after his request to lay a wreath at the
Cenotaph on his behalf was denied by courtiers due to him no longer being a working member of the Royal Family. Instead, Harry and Meghan were photographed laying wreaths in Los Angeles, but
this triggered online criticism, with people accusing the Duke and Duchess of “staging” the pictures. Despite stepping down as a senior member of the Royal Family, his grandmother the Queen
- who is believed to be unaware of the request from Harry - has continued to keep the door open for his return to frontline duties. But Express.co.uk readers have overwhelmingly said there
is now no way back for Harry into the Royal Family fold following this latest snub. 9.15PM UPDATE: PRINCE HARRY’S SNUB FROM ROYAL FAMILY SHOWS RIFT 'WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT'
Buckingham Palace's refusal to grant Prince Harry's request for a Remembrance Day wreath suggests the rift between the duke and his family is "worse than we thought", a
royal biographer has said. Robert Lacey, author of Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult, said the snub will serve as a bump in the road to any
possible reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and the Royal Family. Harry, 36, had asked for a poppy wreath to be placed at the foot of the Cenotaph in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday
on his behalf. But royal courtiers refused his request on the grounds that he is no longer a working member of the Firm, according to The Sunday Times. The Queen, 94, was reportedly not told
about her grandson’s wish. Mr Lacey said the fact that Harry approached the palace asking for the floral tribute suggested he felt “keener on reconciliation” than palace aides felt about
him re-establishing linkswith the family. Meghan and Harry accused of staging photographs (Image: Lee Morgan) 7.30PM UPDATE: CHARLES’ EYE-OPENING REALISATION UPON HARRY’S AFGHANISTAN RETURN
AMID REMEMBRANCE DAY ROW Prince Charles made an insightful comment after Prince Harry returned from his secret Afghanistan tour, which has resurfaced amid reports of a new fallout between
the Sussexes and the Palace. Charles, like many royals, served in the RAF and the Royal Navy for five years, while his son Harry served for a decade in the Armed Forces. Royals with military
accolades always lay a wreath at the Cenotaph to mark Remembrance Day. However, since he has left royal life behind and moved to California, Harry was not expected to be part of the
proceedings this year. The Duke allegedly asked for a wreath to be laid for him in his absence — only for the Palace to spurn his request, reportedly without the Queen’s knowledge. Instead,
the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to personally acknowledge the occasion by visiting the Los Angeles National Cemetery over the weekend — but the Palace’s snub is thought to have left
Harry “deeply saddened”. It is seen as the latest sign that Harry may never be able to return to the royal frontline. He first served in Afghanistan in 2008, but his tour was scuppered when
the media blackout on his position was broken. Upon his early return, Harry was devastated. The snub appears all the more hurtful as the Duke is known to have an incredibly strong emotional
connection to the military. Yet, according to The Telegraph, Charles said he was “enormously proud” of his son, and added that he could now comprehend the difficulties families of soldiers
went through when their loved ones were overseas. 6PM UPDATE: QUEEN HAS NOT SAID 'ONE BAD WORD BEHIND SCENES' ABOUT MEGHAN AND HARRY'S POLITICAL PLEA Queen Elizabeth II has
not condemned Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in public or behind closed doors for their political intervention according to a royal commentator. During the Heirpod podcast, Omid Scobie and
Maggie Rulli discussed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex encouraging people to vote in the 2020 US Presidential election. Mr Scobie stated that he has not heard "one negative word"
coming from the Royal Family regarding the political rallying call issued by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. He said: "Despite all of the criticism that we have seen in sections of the
press I haven’t heard one negative word coming from within the royal households themselves. "I think sometimes that criticism or the controversy that we see written about is often very
different from what is felt behind the scenes." The Queen has not condemned the political intervention from Meghan and Harry (Image: GETTY) 4.10PM UPDATE: MEGHAN MARKLE NARROWLY AVOIDED
‘TAX TORMENT’ BY MOVING BACK TO US Meghan Markle managed to avoid potential "tax torment" by moving back to the US with her husband Prince Harry, a tax specialist has claimed.
Meghan gave up a great deal to marry Harry in 2018. She left her budding career as an actor on the US legal drama Suits, she moved across from North America to Britain and even gave up her
lifestyle blog, The Tig as well as all of her social media accounts. Meghan was also being thrust onto the global stage and preparing to live in the UK full-time. This came with the
additional stress of still being tied to the US through her citizenship — which meant she had to be wary of accumulating huge tax costs when living in the UK. Tax writer Laura Saunders
subsequently issued a surprise warning to Meghan just before her 2018 wedding, and advised her to watch out for her finances. 3.15PM UPDATE: PRINCE CHARLES RE-WORE 34-YEAR-OLD SUIT TO MEGHAN
MARKLE AND HARRY’S ROYAL WEDDING Prince Charles spoke out about an outfit he re-wore to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. The Prince of Wales discussed creating more
sustainable wardrobes during his latest interview. He chatted with the editor-in-chief of British Vogue all about the importance of waste-free fashion. He originally acquired the suit in
1984 and wore it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. During the interview with Edward Enninful, Prince Charles spoke about the suit and why he did not wear a new one for the
Sussexes’ wedding. He said: "I’ve considered it. But in the case of that particular morning coat, as long as I can go on getting into it, I only wear it a few times a year, in the
summer, so obviously you want to keep those sorts of things going." PRINCE HARRY'S MAJOR ROLE 'HANDED OVER' TO OTHERS SAYS EXPERT _PAUL WITHERS TAKING OVER LIVE REPORTING

coronavirus cover-up as it was dubbed the "wrong move" for the future King. Royal expert Robert Jobson admitted that he was disappointed in the handling of the Prince William
coronavirus cover-up. While speaking to Omid Scobie on his Heirpod podcast, Mr Jobson noted he understood why the decision was made. However, he fundamentally disagreed with how it was
handled as he claimed the royals should not intentionally mislead the media. 2.45PM UPDATE: PRINCE HARRY REPLACED BY CAMILLA IN ROYAL ROLE THAT ‘MEANS SO MUCH’ TO DUKE OF SUSSEX Prince Harry
was replaced by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, in a Royal Family role that "meant so much" to him according to a royal commentator. During the Royal Rota, ITV's Lizzie
Robinson stated that the Duchess of Cornwall visited the field of remembrance outside Westminster Abbey on behalf of the Royal Family. Ms Robinson stated that for the last seven years it is
a visit that Prince Harry has made for the Royal Family. Camilla replaces Prince Harry in important role (Image: Getty) 2.30PM UPDATE: QUEEN NEARLY ENDED PHILIP MARRIAGE ’63 TIMES’ OVER
DUKE’S ‘UNREPENTANT BACHELOR’ LIFESTYLE Queen Elizabeth II came close to putting an end to her relationship with Prince Philip "63 times" because of his "bachelor-like"
lifestyle, a new documentary has claimed. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip have often been hailed as a perfect example of a loving couple still working to support each other after over
70 years of marriage. Her Majesty is believed to have fallen in love at first sight when aged only 13 during a visit to Royal Naval College Dartmouth where Philip was a mere 18-year-old
cadet. But despite the pair putting up a united front for decades, a new La Grande Storia documentary from Italian broadcaster Rai suggested the royal marriage repeatedly threatened to
collapse. 2.05PM UPDATE: PRINCE WILLIAM’S ’SMALL STEP’ TO SECURE UK-IRELAND BOND AMID BREXIT TENSIONS Prince William made a "small step" in thawing increasing tensions between the
UK and Ireland as the future King attempted to ensure the nations' post-Brexit relationship could be maintained. Pressure between the UK and Ireland reached fever pitch as Prime
Minister Boris Johnson announced he would make a series of changes to the Brexit withdrawal agreement, which critics claimed could thwart peace on the island of Ireland. Joe Biden, then a
Democratic nominee for the presidential election, also waded into the row between the UK and the EU, demanding that any hindrance to the border between the Republic and Northern Ireland
would impact a potential trade deal between Washington and London. This tension was further deepened as Mr Biden emerged victorious in the US poll over the weekend, with some arguing his
Irish heritage could play a part in his wishes to secure a better trade deal with the EU, as opposed to the UK. 1.30PM UPDATE: KATE HEARTBROKEN AS PRINCE WILLIAM ‘THOUGHT HE COULD DO BETTER’
BEFORE ENDING RELATIONSHIP Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge saw her relationship with Prince William collapse after the royal began to think about his relationship options, according to
expert Andrew Morton. Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been married for longer than nine years and are the proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and
Prince Louis. But the fairytale marriage nearly did not happen as the pair called it quits after six years together as William allegedly wanted to explore his options. According to writer
Andrew Morton, the now-Duke of Cambridge briefly broke up with Kate in 2007 because he "thought he could do better." Kate heartbreak after Will could be better claim (Image: Getty)
1.15PM UPDATE: MEGHAN AND HARRY OUTRAGE: COUPLE SEEN WITHOUT FACE MASKS MINUTES AFTER POSING WEARING THEM Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been accused of only wearing face masks for
optics after pictures emerged of the couple laying a wreath for Remembrance Sunday. The Sussexes marked Remembrance Sunday by laying a wreath at the Los Angeles National Cemetery after
Prince Harry’s request to have one placed by the Cenotaph in London was refused. In LA - where the couple are now living - face masks are required both indoors and outdoors in a bid to stop
the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. But many pointed out, the photographs show the couple both with and without a face mask on. 12.46PM UPDATE: PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN FACE
‘SACRIFICES’ OF QUITTING ROYAL LIFE ON MILESTONE AWAY FROM UK Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their first Remembrance Day since quitting the Royal Family on Sunday. One royal
commentator has claimed it is on occasions like these the couple will be acutely aware of the "sacrifices" they have made to pursue their own path. The couple have been based in
the USA since stepping away from their royal roles in March. Harry is extremely proud of his military ties and on Sunday marked his first Remembrance Day apart from the traditional service
in London. As Royal Family members gathered at the Cenotaph, Meghan and Harry made a private visit to a cemetery in Los Angeles. 11.15AM UPDATE: END THE MONARCHY! POLICE USE WATER CANNON AS
PROTESTERS TRY TO BREAK INTO PALACE Riot police have sprayed water cannon at anti-monarchy protesters in Thailand after they tried to break into Bangkok’s Grand Palace. The student-led
movement, which is demanding huge reform for the royal family, tried to deliver letters to the country’s king following several months of demonstrations when they clashed with police. A bus
was pushed aside during the protest and was used as a barrier as protesters approached the palace in fiery scenes. This recent protests came after police declared the march illegal and asked
instead for protesters to send representatives to talk. Thai protests call for Royal Family reform (Image: Getty) 10.45AM UPDATE: HARRY TOOK PRECEDENT OVER WILLIAM DURING REMEMBRANCE DAY
SERVICE AMID LATEST FALLOUT Prince Harry once took precedence over his older brother Prince William during a pivotal Remembrance Day service, reports have revealed. Harry and his wife Meghan
Markle made a personal trip to the Los Angeles National Cemetery over the weekend, to honour Remembrance Day and lay a wreath for the fallen. As a veteran who served in the Army for ten
years, Harry is exceptionally proud of his time in the military. But after leaving the royal frontline in March, he had to renounce his official military appointments -- a compromise with
the Firm which reportedly left him devastated. 9.45AM UPDATE: QUEEN HEARTBREAK AS CLAIMS SHE LOOKED ‘LOST AND DIMINUTIVE’ DURING PHILIP ILLNESS EMERGE Queen Elizabeth II looked "lost
and diminutive" when her husband and close companion Prince Philip fell ill during a milestone occasion, a biography has claimed. The Queen reigned for 75 years with Prince Philip
constantly by her side, working tirelessly to uphold the monarchy’s values along with her. While she was preoccupied with her duties as the monarch, he made sure to rule over their family
with his iron will. Although neither royal stalwarts are prone to emotion, the Queen allowed the public to get some heartwarming insight into their relationship during their 50th wedding
anniversary. Queen looked ‘lost’ during Philip illness (Image: Getty) 9.20AM UPDATE: PIERS MORGAN HITS BACK AT TROLLS AFTER MEGHAN MARKLE AND HARRY REMEMBRANCE ‘PR’ BACKLASH Piers Morgan has
hit back at Twitter trolls after he criticised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for their Remembrance Day tribute. The Good Morning Britain host blasted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for
treating the day of mourning as a “PR opportunity” on Twitter. But Mr Morgan’s mentions were flooded by fans of the royals who thought he was being “unfair” on the couple. Mr Morgan has
frequently criticised the Sussex royals since stepping down from full time royal duties earlier this year. 9.05AM UPDATE: ROYAL HISTORY REWRITTEN: LOST ‘DIARY’ SHOWS HENRY VIII WAS ‘SOFT,
KIND AND MANIPULATED’ Royal history is missing a key figure in its narrative, a former professional archaeologist-turned author has told Express.co.uk, and his writings could change
long-standing views on Henry VIII. Juan Luis Vives was a Jewish Spaniard and a renowned scholar in the 16th century, who fled Spain to avoid the Inquisition. Lord High Chancellor of
England, Sir Thomas More, offered him the job to tutor Princess Mary, daughter of Catherine of Aragon and Henry VIII, which he accepted to become a well-known member of the Tudor court. But
he is “missing from English history books,” according to Tim Darcy Ellis, who has written a fascinating novel on Mr Vives based on historical accounts. Queen Elizabeth II led Remembrance

Prince William and worrying about the Cambridge family as the royal battled coronavirus, a royal expert has claimed. Brittani Barger, deputy editor of Royal Central, claimed The Duke of
Sussex would have been “worried” about his brother’s family, including Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and their children struggling with the deadly virus. Harry and Meghan Markle have been
in Los Angeles since March, and have mostly stayed put in their new Montecito home. Ms Barger’s comments come after reports suggested William and Harry’s rift had grown larger during the
time apart. 8.30AM UPDATE: ROYAL POLL: IS THERE ANY WAY BACK FOR PRINCE HARRY AFTER SNUB? Prince Harry's request for the Royal Family to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph on his behalf was
refused by Buckingham Palace on Remembrance Sunday. Is there any way back into the fold for him after this major snub? This year, Prince Harry and Megan Markle announced they were stepping
down as senior members of the Royal Family. They are now living in Los Angeles with their young son Archie. But as the rest of the Royal Family remembered the fallen troops on Remembrance
