"She always had a smile on her face and she will be sorely missed by everyone. She was young so no provision had been made for a funeral at this time in her life. Any contributions will help

greatly.

"Kirsty should have a beautiful funeral service to celebrate her life and provide comfort to her family and friends, and also deaf/BSL communities. We really appreciate any donation whether

big or small.

"All contributions will be spent on the funeral service and supporting Kirsty's children's future."

Her cousin Garry Wilson said: "I'd just like to thank everyone for their time, efforts and support. We have found Kirsty and, while this is far removed from the resolution any of us would

have hoped for, our little cousin is at peace.

"For that at the very least I am thankful. We'll miss her greatly. She has been taken far too early. Again, I want to thank you for the masses of support myself and the rest of the family

have received from everyone worldwide."

Many also took to social media to remember the mother from Robroyston in Glasgow.

Among them was the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, who tweeted: "A sad end to a very sad week. My deepest condolences to Kirsty Aitchison's family and friends."

Ms Aitchison had been out with friends at an event staged in the Campus bar on Sauchiehall Street. She left about 3am and it was thought she had got a taxi.

But police trawled through CCTV images and revealed she had walked down to Broomielaw with her shoes in her hand, possibly heading to the nearby Gala Casino, where some friends had gone.
