EastEnders has always been known for delivering some of the most explosive storyline twists at Christmas and New Year. Last year saw Max Branning (played by Jake Wood) watch as his daughters
Lauren and Abi plummeted from the Queen Vic rooftop, and the latter died as a result. The BBC soap is clearly lining up a dramatic conclusion to Hayley Slater’s (Katie Jarvis) devastating
secret, which is that Alfie (Shane Ritchie) is the father of baby Cherry. When Kat (Jessie Wallace) inevitably finds out about Hayley and Alfie, it’s sure to cause unbelievable havoc in
Walford, but will she turn murderous against her husband? What’s more, Mick’s (Danny Dyer) return has put Stuart (Ricky Champ) on a knife edge, as the former prisoner is desperate to find
out exactly what his wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) did to get him released. Can someone save him at the last minute? According to reports from The Sun, recent filming featured a pair of
dog-walkers happening upon a body, which was hidden in a woodland location. Taking place in a clearing, the body was reportedly wrapped in a blue sheet, prompting the onlookers to call the
police to the scene immediately. The next day the area could be seen being cordoned off with big yellow tape as the investigation got underway. BBC bosses are keeping any Christmas deaths
tightly under wraps this year, but the alleged scenes are sure to be life changing for everyone involved. The latest EastEnders trailer teased things will end very badly for Kat and Alfie -
who only recently returned to the soap. When the truth is finally revealed, Kat will angrily confront her on-off partner of over a decade, desperate to know why he could betray her in such a
way. The hour-long Christmas Day episode is sure to have viewers gripped to their screens, regardless of how the storyline comes to an end. According to a source for the publication, they
said: “It will all kick off big-time. Kat will confront him about the baby before all hell breaks loose. The scenes will leave him for dead. “Alfie is a huge character and this is going to
be classic EastEnders drama.” Speaking about the upcoming plot this week, actor Shane teased his ultimate fate. “Only on Christmas Day could this happen,” he joked. “Why anyone would want to
live in Walford, I have no idea. “But Christmas Day is massive and I’ve been privileged enough to see some of it. Without giving too much away, this is a tough one to come back from after
you see what happens.” “Someone’s got blood on their hands, is all I’m saying,” he added. _EASTENDERS CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 7.30PM ON BBC ONE._
