Shocked residents have told how they were advised by police to leave their homes prior to a terrifying 'petrol bomb' attack on a home in Stockton. The house, on Windmill Terrace in

the Tilery area, was targeted at about 11.45pm on Monday. It occurred about four hours after the resident and next-door neighbours were reportedly advised to leave and move somewhere safe.

One neighbour, who stayed in her home, told Teesside Live she heard "a pop" before looking out to see the neighbouring garden alight. Police remain at the scene, which is cordoned

off, on Tuesday morning. Earlier in the night, a car was reportedly petrol-bombed at Piper Knowle Road in the Hardwick area of the town. The latest fires follow the previous night of chaos

in Stockton with several alleged arson attacks and reports of gunfire. Seven people, including a 15-year-old boy, have been arrested in connection with the string of incidents. A further two

people have been arrested after a weapon was fired in Alder Road, Stockton, and a person was seen with a weapon in Northbourne Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Investigating

officers are not out ruling out any links with other similar incidents in Stockton over the last week. Teesside Live will share further details and updates on the latest attacks as they
