Race Across the World returned to TV screens with a new episode on Wednesday (28 May), as the final four couples continued on their journey. Having successfully reached the fifth checkpoint,

McLeod Ganj, the teams had their sights set on their next checkpoint, Sasan Gir, located 1,600 miles south, in the western state of Gujarat. However, one duo were not in great spirits as

the next leg of their race got underway. Sioned and Fin arrived at the fifth checkpoint to find that they had come last, with the other three teams beating them by several hours. "It is

our first time being last. It's not the best feeling. 24 hours behind third," Fin admitted after looking at the check-in book. "Not nice to look at, is it?" Sioned said,

before revealing she'd been struggling while in India. "First full leg in India didn't go well. We've, well, me especially, I've struggled. I can't deal with

crowds and noises, and all of that stuff very well," she said. This prompted Sioned to reflect on how she deals with things and she went on to admit she'd been feeling pressure to

"do more". "Then, when things go wrong, I basically just shut down. I can't help but to be disappointed in myself," she said as she began to break down in tears.

"I always feel like what I do isn't good enough. I feel like I need to do more, prove more. I don't know, I don't know why I'm that way. I just want everyone to be

proud of me. I struggle to be proud of myself, most of the time." Turning to Fin, Sioned then added: "We don't want to just be second in the first leg and then that's it,

that's the highlight." The teams needed to navigate four of India's western states in a bid to reach their sixth checkpoint, with the choice between heading east through a

popular tourist route or veering west to explore the Great Indian Desert. Fin and Sioned thankfully managed to redeem themselves in the latest leg, as they arrived only six hours behind

their co-stars, after being over 24 hours behind. _RACE ACROSS THE WORLD AIRS ON WEDNESDAYS ON BBC ONE AT 9PM. ALL EPISODES CAN BE WATCHED VIA BBC IPLAYER._
