STORY LINKS * NSIC Release BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Tyl Woelber has been named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Year for the second straight year, the NSIC announced Wednesday. Woelber also won the NSIC Field Athlete of the Year in 2019, where he scored 30 points for the Vikings. He neared that score this year, scoring 27 points for the Vikings over four events at the NSIC Outdoor Championships. Woelber set a new school record in the triple jump, soaring past his previous personal best leap, that came at the NSIC Outdoor Championships in 2019, leaping 47-09.75 on his second attempt. The mark was good for second place and 8 points for the Vikings, He also was runner-up in the javelin throw with his first attempt of 194-11, earning an additional eight points. Woelber claimed 11 points between the long jump (24-03) and high jump (6-7), where he placed third and fourth, respectively.  In addition to Woelber's 27 points, two Vikings joined him on the top-five scoring list at the conference meet. Ryan Hartman scored 20 points, winning both the 3,000m steeplechase and the 5,000m. While Megan Means scored 18 points, winning the 5,000m and placing runner-up in the 10,000m.
