Coronation Street newcomer Lou Michaelis' future appears to be sealed thanks to one co-star. On Friday's episode of Off Script... Coronation Street & Emmerdale with hosts
Kelvin and Liz Fletcher, the duo spoke to Coronation Street favourite Mikey North, who has played Gary Windass since 2008. The trio spoke about the heartbreaking Corrie episodes from this
week, which saw Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, killed off after 14 years due to Mick Michaelis. Earlier this week, Craig had investigated a disturbance at Mick and Lou's house,
where he was dismissed by the latter. However, upon spotting later Mick speeding in his van and realising he was driving under the influence, Craig pulled him over. Unfortunately, Craig
received an angry and drunken Mick's wrath, who had been on the hunt for Kit Green after learning he had an affair with Lou when they were younger and could be his son Brody's
biological dad. After learning he was being arrested for drink-driving, Mick attacked Craig with a baseball bat and left him lifeless on the road as he sped off. Prior to this scene, Mick
had attacked Lou over the news of her affair with Kit when they were younger and she had fled the cobbles with their two young daughters before being sent to hospital over her head wound. In
spoilers next week, it's revealed that Mick is in prison as he awaits his court hearing. With Mick arrested and in prison, soap watchers have been wondering the fate of the rest of the
Michaelis family. On Friday's Off Script, host Liz said: "It does leave a question now: 'Is there any room for Lou on the street?' She's hated by everybody!
"She is part of Mick, it's so sad to see because it is a domestic violence storyline. She has been controlled by Mick since being a teenager." Liz added: "He's
always had that grip over her but do you think now she's free of him...?" To which Gary star Mikey, 38, revealed: "There's a lot to come with Lou! Without giving too much
away..." This prompted host Kelvin to joke: "Hey, that's enough, that's an exclusive!" to which Mikey teased further: "Lou's got a lot to come,
you've not seen the last of her!" Taking to Twitter, now X, soap watchers recently demanded that Lou stay on the cobbles going forward. One person said: "I want to see Lou
stay #Corrie", another person put: "Sorry but Lou should stay ....there could be real progress with that character!! #Corrie", a different viewer commented: "Once again
asking #corrie is we can keep Lou. Can we pretty please keep Lou??" while another added: "Let Lou stay and do a storyline of her rebuilding her life after escaping abuse!
#corrie." CORONATION STREET CONTINUES ON MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS AT 8PM ON ITV AND ITV X.
