GOOD MORNING BRITAIN HOST SUSANNA REID WAS PRAISED BY VIEWERS AS SHE GRILLED ROBERT JENRICK IN A 'HEATED' INTERVIEW MEGHNA AMIN 08:54, 02 Jun 2025 GMB: Susanna grills Jenrick on
fare dodgers video Susanna Reid has admitted she fears for her children's safety during a fiery interview on Good Morning Britain, as she probed Robert Jenrick on a knife-carrying TFL
passenger. The shadow Lord Chancellor and Shadow Secretary of State for Justice became the centre of attention after footage of him challenging tube travellers over fare evasion went viral.
In one segment of the video, a man on an escalator suggests he has a knife, seemingly to deter Jenrick from approaching him. Despite the politician's efforts to steer the conversation
towards fare evasion during his appearance on Monday's Good Morning Britain, Susanna zeroed in on the issue of a knife-carrying commuter. She grilled Jenrick about his failure to report
the knife possession to the authorities, expressing her outrage: "Somebody told you that they were carrying a knife on the London Underground and you didn't report it to the
police." Her interrogation intensified as she added: "I travel on the tube, my kids travel on the tube, and someone has just told you, a former shadow minister, someone who is
concerned about policing and obeying the law, you're worried about fare-dodging, I'm worried about people carrying knives, and you didn't report it to the police?"

two-word Billie Piper message Jenrick defended his decision not to inform the police, stating: "It's not about me." However, Susanna was unimpressed with his explanation,
sharply retorting, "I don't want to be disrespectful to you; you made it all about you." She criticised the focus of the video, pointing out, "The video was literally all
about you - it's you walking around tube stations, confronting people. "So to say that you didn't report what was said to you because you're saying you didn't want
to make it all about you is disingenuous." Her handling of the situation drew applause from those watching, with one viewer commenting: "Brilliant watching him get torn
apart." Susanna's performance was lauded as "brilliant" by another, while a third lamented: "This is why the country is in such a mess. Our 'leaders' have
not got a clue. Absolutely disgusting. More concerned with fair dodging then the life's of citizens! ! So out of touch with reality..." (sic). "Good on you, Susanna, holding
him accountable," came the approval from a fourth spectator. Article continues below "Jenrick was owned and humiliated," yet another concurred. GOOD MORNING BRITAIN AIRS
