NEW RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS ARE COMING TO MANCHESTER'S TRAFFORD CENTRE AND TRAFFORD PALAZZO 12:22, 05 Feb 2025 Brand new restaurants and shops will be coming to Manchester's biggest shopping centre this year, including a huge new Sports Direct and a Gymshark. The Trafford Palazzo, based in Trafford, Greater Manchester, and connects to the Trafford Centre, will be welcoming a Sports Direct later this year. Sports Direct, part of Frasers Group plc, will be housed within Trafford Palazzo located at the entrance to the link bridge that connects to The Trafford Centre. Set across two floors, the store will house more brands from Frasers Group’s roster including USC, GAME and Jack Wills. Popular Danish store Flying Tiger is opening at the Trafford Centre on Valentines Day, February 14. The variety store sells a range of items such as home decor, gifts, accessories, and more. Later this year, the Trafford Centre will also welcome a Gymshark store, a popular sportswear brand which until 2022 was entirely online, before opening its flagship store in London's Regent Street. JD Sports will also relaunch in the Trafford Centre later this year, but there is currently no confirmed date. Asian fast-food restaurant Itsu has opened at the Trafford Centre in January, and soon they will be welcoming three new restaurants - Hello Oriental, Blanchflower and Jerk Junction. Hello Oriental offers pan-Asian street food - including pho, bao buns, sushi and dim sum - and there is currently another branch on Oxford Street, Manchester. Blanchflower, restaurant-cafe, already has branches in Altrincham and Sale and serves brunch, lunch and weekend dinner, alongside fabulous coffee, house made cordials, wine and draft beer. Jerk Junction will soon be offering Caribbean street food for Trafford Centre visitors. There are currently no confirmed dates for the opening restaurants, but are expected this year. Trafford Palazzo, situated at the heart of TraffordCity, offers 350,000 sq. ft of retail and leisure space, with anchor tenants such as Primark, Sealife and Legoland being recently joined by up-and-coming brands and experiences, including NERF AX, King Pins and soon-to-open Archie’s Atomic.
