What is taught to you is different than what is taught to me. So, you will stick to your knowledge and I will stick to mine. We won’t be able to persuade each other but let me write what I know: * It was just after Ottoman Empire and Turkish Republic was giving its independence war * Several number of Armenian groups began attacking the villages, killing civillians. In those villages there were no soldiers. * While the young Turkish Republic was having war against France, Greece, England and Italy at the same time, those Armenian groups tried to get benefit from this situation. * For the purpose of protecting its own citizens those Armenian groups were defeated. And the government tried to relocate the remaining Armenians to a place so that they won’t again attach the villages. * During this relocation, there had occured some civil deaths. This is sad. But when you take the health and environmental conditions of those years, that was inevitable. * Genocide is a wrong term for these events. Moreover what you mentioned was not against all Christians. It was against for those rebellion Armenains. There was a huge number of deaths (both from Armenians and from Turkish citizens). * We should find new ways to improve the communication and connection between neighbouring communities. History is important. We should take lessons from the history so that we won’t make the similar mistakes. And we should look forward.
