FOLLOWING HER SPLIT FROM BOYFRIEND ROBBIE TALBOT, A SOURCE CLOSE TO HELEN FLANAGAN HAS CLAIMED HER FRIENDS ARE URGING HER TO TAKE A BREAK FROM DATING - AND ENJOY BEING SINGLE 07:00, 02 Jun
2025 Helen Flanagan hasn’t had the easiest ride over the last 12 months between financial woes, co-parenting her three children with ex-fiance Scott Sinclair and, now, a sad break-up. After
it was reported last week that the mum-of-three had split from her footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot following a 12-month romance, a source claims that friends are urging Helen, 34, to
remain single. “Helen hates being single and that’s no secret, she’s no good at it. She likes having a man around and having that support network, she’s just more comfortable in a
relationship. However, after splitting from Robbie her friends and family are telling her to stay single for a while and just focus on herself,” they tell OK!. READ MORE: Primark's

called quits on their romance, sharing how Helen told dad-of-two Robbie it ‘wasn’t working’. “They want different things in life. She has just landed a new acting job and is trying to juggle
work projects with the kids. She sat him down two weeks ago and said, ‘This isn’t working’. It was a grown-up chat,” they explained. “She just wants to be on her own for a while although
she still has feelings for him,” they added. Article continues below While the split was a surprise to some, it followed on from Robbie moving out of Helen’s home in what seemed like a step
backwards for the couple. Robbie moved into Helen’s Bolton home in September but packed up and moved out just eight months later - with Helen admitting it was ‘confusing’ for her children.
The star shares Matilda, Delilah, and Charlie with her ex Scott and admitted that she had to put their needs first. She told Fabulous in April that she’d asked him to stay for a while, as
she’d often get ‘quite scared’ in the house on her own, and felt ‘safer with a man there’, and also said that Matilda was a daddy’s girl who found it difficult not seeing Scott as often as
she liked. “I always think about how she feels when she misses her dad, and having my boyfriend there maybe doesn’t help her”, she confessed. “When you’re a mum, you do what you’ve got to do
for your kids – I will always put mine first.” Helen added that their new arrangement means the romance is ‘fresh’ and allows her to co-sleep with her kids smoothly. However, the couple
went on to split less than two months later, and our source goes on to claim that friends are asking Helen to stick by her vow to focus on herself. It’s not the first time Helen’s nearest
and dearest have made the request, with the star admitting last year that her friends attempted to put her on a ‘man ban’ after she split from Scott. “A lot of my friends were trying to put
me on a man ban, which obviously didn’t work!” she told Fabulous of how she met Robbie. “I was hurting from the break up and I’ve always just wanted to be loved so I started dating.” As part
of Helen getting herself back out there, she also appeared on Celebs Go Dating last summer, but admitted on the show that she had been dating Robbie off-screen and wanted to pursue things
with him. But now, the former Coronation Street star is hoping to put her career ahead of love with her new single status, our source says. “She wants to be independent and focus on her
career, acting is her focus right now and getting back into that is going to be her priority. Acting and family are her real loves and she knows the best thing for her right now is to lean
into those, but it’s not going to be easy and splitting from Robbie wasn’t an easy decision either,” they claimed. Prior to Robbie, Helen was in a 13 year relationship with Bristol Rovers
player Scott, with the couple splitting in 2022. While they have been working to co-parent their brood ever since, Helen previously detailed how she and Scott ‘don’t like each other’.
Speaking to Charlotte Dawson on her Naughty Corner podcast , Helen explained, “I still love him very much, I care about him deeply, but we don’t like each other. We don’t like each other at
all, we don’t get on. I do know that Scott - he’d never admit it - cares about me too and he does love me.” She added, “But I’m so done, I could never have another relationship again where
we would always be bickering. I haven’t got another argument in me.” Helen also opened up about the struggles of moving on from the relationship and it’s breakdown, something she is going to
be feeling once again since splitting from Robbie, says our source, but this time on a smaller scale. They claimed, “It’s going to feel a bit like going back to square one. Helen’s friends
and family are really trying to be that support network for her and keep her focusing on herself, it’ll be a tough time again.” Hang in there, Helen. Article continues below * FOLLOW MIRROR
