Perth radio ratings: 96 fm sees breakfast boost, but mix retains lead

Mix’s lead in the Perth radio market has eased ever so slightly with the station seeing its audience share falling 0.2 percentage points to 15.4%, keeping the station ahead of rivals Nova and Triple J which also saw falls in the latest survey. While Mix didn’t repeat the performance of the last survey 15.6% share, the station was still comfortably ahead of Nova’s 12.1% take of the audience, a fall of 0.1 points, and Triple J’s 10.6%, which also eased 0.4 points. Driving 96 FM’s gains were the morning show duo of Paul and Lise (Paul Hogan and Lisa Fernandez) who picked up 1.1 points to take 7.3% of the market – still well behind Mix’s share and Nova’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun, who slightly recovered from last survey’s 1.7 point slump with a 0.4 point jump to finish with 13.6% of the morning audience. The ABC’s main AM station overall saw a 0.5 drop to 6.6%, falling behind commercial rival 6PR which recorded a 0.1 point gain to 7.1%. During drive, Mix’s drive combo of Pete Curulli and the Kennedy Malloy show maintained its lead with an audience share of 15.2%, a jump of 0.6 points, while Nova eased 1.1 points to 13.3%.
