More sessions have been added to the growing lineup at Mumbrella CommsCon with the future of work and PR’s new focus for 2020 to be dissected. As part of the interactive stream, Kim McKay,
founder of KlickX, and Lija Wilson, founder of Puffling, are set to run a workshop which will provide delegates with their own tailored integration plan, the tools to nail work-life balance
and an understanding of why traditional working hours are no longer viable. McKay and Wilson will lead a workshop on The Future of Work(shop) Poem’s co-founder and ECD, Matt Holmes, and
content business director, Katie Raleigh, have also been confirmed to speak at Mumbrella CommsCon. ADVERTISEMENT The duo will analyse how the media landscape has changed over the past 10
years, the effect it has had on the industry, and whether the modern role of PR should still be to earn free media or to earn consumer choice. The session will give insight into how the
democratisation of digital has changed the media landscape and the impact it has had on the role of PR and its relationship to content. Already announced on this year’s Mumbrella CommsCon
program is former deputy press secretary and special assistant to President Trump, Lindsay Walters, who will present the keynote. Walters is now the senior VP of US Public Affairs at
Edelman. She will fly in from Washington to deliver her presentation. Walters is set to present a session on ‘Politics and PR, Insights from the Trump Presidency’ Other speakers already on
the program include Coca-Cola South Pacific’s social media lead, Annabel Archer; TBWA’s chief strategy officer, Matt Springate; PwC Australia’s director of behavioural economics, Jason
Collins; Golin Singapore’s ECD, Shouvik Prasanna; The United Nations Association of Australia’s national communications manager, Dr Candice Woods; Red Havas’ CEO, Sarah Trombetta and more.
