STATE MEDICAL DIRECTORATE/COUNSELING AUTHORITY FOR NEET PG 2017. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG  exam 2017 was conducted on December 5 to December 13, 2016. The application


procedure started on September 26 and the last date to fill the and submit the application form was November 7, 2016.  Aspirants are required to note that they can go through college wise


breakup for general, OBC, SC AND ST Categories. The counselling for various categories of State quota seats will be conducted by the concerned State Medical Directorate/Counseling


authority(s) of the State/UT/Private Universities/Medical College/Institutions. Total number of Seats in the MDS Program across all 240 Dental Colleges(including those in Andhra Pradesh,


Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana) is 5896 as per the Official data. The total number of MDS seats available through national counseling is 2656 The merit for State quota seats will be


determined by concerned State authority using NEET-PG scores and as per applicable Regulation and/or their eligibility criteria, Guidelines, reservation policy, benefits for In-service


candidates, rural posting (if applicable) etc. Counseling for All India 50% quota seats shall be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of Director General of Health Services,


Government of India. Counselling for admission to private Medical Colleges, Institutions, Universities & Deemed Universities shall be conducted by the designated counseling authority of


these Private Colleges/Institutions/Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities using NEET-PG scores and as per applicable Regulations and/or their eligibility criteria, reservation policy,

themselves as per applicable Regulation and/or their qualifying criteria, and applicable guidelines etc. NBE has no role in counselling/allotment of seats. NEET-PG is a mandatory test for


gaining admission to any Postgraduate Medical Courses w.e.f. 2017 admission session.  Aspirants are required to note that no state government /private medical college/universities including


the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh will be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to their MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session


2017-2018. In private and deemed medical colleges, 50% of the total seats will be filled by the state government or the authority appointed by them, and the remaining 50% seats will be


filled by the medical college on the basis of NEET PG merit list. Online Counseling will be conducted on the basis of AIPGMEE/AIPGDEE Result declared by the NBE/AIIMS, New Delhi. ALSO READ:
