08:55, 02 Jun 2025 Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has made a demand over her on-screen partnership as she was quizzed on a Swarla wedding - "if they get there". The actress was
discussing her character DS Lisa Swain and her girlfriend in the ITV soap, Carla Connor, played by Alison King, during an appearance at the British Soap Awards on Saturday (May 31).
Vicky's red carpet appearance came after fans went wild for Lisa proposing to Carla, months after they finally gave into their feelings for one another. While Carla turned down the
proposal, with it coming amid the shock death of PC Craig Tinker in the line of duty, it's definitely not the end for the beloved couple and Vicky has been sharing what she wants to see
for the pair. Speaking to The Mirror, actress Vicky shared her hopes for the pair where a wedding is concerned, "if they get there". Vicky is keen to see the couple develop more
onscreen, and feature in more "social" settings as they navigate life together on the cobbles with their loved ones. Article continues below "I'd like to see Lisa and
Carla being a part of the community, in the Rovers," she said. "They're both busy, independent women, so it would be nice to see a more sociable side to them. Frivolous fun,
going out for a drink." The soap star also shared that she would also be keen to explore Lisa's backstory too, but for now, she's hoping the soap focuses on Swarla's
growing relationship and their future as a family on the show. She told us: "I think a backstory would be great, but I think in time. There are so many other things that I think should
be explored with the two of them and their extended family, and how they navigate life all together in their flat." Vicky referenced characters including Roy Cropper, Ryan Connor and
Nina Lucas as being part of their close group. Speaking about Lisa's 'marry me' request to Carla in the emotional aftermath of her young colleague being killed by nasty
perpetrator Mick Michaelis, and Carla's decision to turn her down - for now - Vicky shared: " I think it was right under the circumstances and that's the beauty of their
relationship. Article continues below "Swain, even though it seemed spontaneous, it was obviously in the moment that she thought about it, and that moment seemed like the right time to
do it. But Carla being the level-headed one put it to reason and what she said was true..." _JOIN OUR CORONATION STREET WHATSAPP GROUP HERE_ But on that Ibiza wedding the pair teased in
recent scenes, Vicky is keen when the time is right. She joked: "I think it would be very good. Shall we see? We can put it out there."
