Overseas nurses studying PhDs in the UK often find courses challenging due to a lack of structure and networking opportunities, according to researchers from Nottingham and Glasgow. They


interviewed 17 nursing students from nine countries studying at six UK universities. Many said they had expected a “more structured programme” and wanted more chances to network with UK


nurses as they “did not always feel well integrated into their department’s wider research environment”.
